The Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals (SISGP) is a highly competitive, fully funded award designed to support your academic and professional growth in Sweden. Successful applicants will receive:

• Full tuition coverage – The Swedish Institute pays your tuition fees directly to your chosen university each semester.


• Monthly living allowance – Receive SEK 12,000 per month to cover accommodation, food, and other living expenses throughout your study period.


• Travel grant – A one-time grant of SEK 15,000 (or SEK 10,000 for scholars from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine) to support your travel to Sweden.


• Professional network membership – Join the SI Network for Global Professionals (NFGP), a vibrant platform that helps you develop professionally and build lasting international connections while studying in Sweden.


• Alumni opportunities – After completing your studies, become part of the Sweden Alumni Network, giving you continued access to professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities around the world.

The Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals opens for applications once every year for master’s programmes starting in the autumn semester. To be considered for this prestigious opportunity, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be a citizen of one of the 33 eligible countries listed for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals.


• Apply for a master’s programme that qualifies for the SI scholarship.


• Be required to pay tuition fees to Swedish universities through University Admissions.


• Have relevant work experience in your professional field.


• Demonstrate leadership experience, either from your current or previous employment, or through involvement in civil society activities.

Key Dates for the Swedish Institute Scholarship 2026

• 16 October 2025 – 15 January 2026: Submit your application for Swedish master’s programmes through University Admissions.


• Mid-November 2025: The list of eligible master’s programmes and SI Scholarship application documents will be published on the official Swedish Institute website.


• 9 – 25 February 2026: The application portal for the SI Scholarships will be open for two weeks, make sure to complete and submit your application within this period.


• 26 March 2026: University Admissions results are announced.


• 23 April 2026: The Swedish Institute Scholarship awardees are officially announced.
