The yDiv Graduate School invites highly motivated international candidates from the Global South to apply for the DAAD GSSP Scholarships 2025, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

Research is focused on the interaction between society and nature. Scholarship holders will conduct their own doctoral projects closely aligned with the ongoing research of their supervisors.

Positions are based in Leipzig, with 2 scholarships available, each funded for up to 4 years. The positions are expected to start on the 1st of any month between February and October 2026.

Target Group:  Students holding a Master’s degree.

Academic Requirements:   An above-average Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.

• Monthly stipend: €1,400


• Travel allowance: Varies depending on the applicant’s home country


• Insurance coverage: Health, accident, and liability insurance included


• Research support: Study and research allowance provided

• Highly motivated international candidates from the Global South.


• Students holding a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.


• Applicants must have an above-average academic record.
