The University of Calgary offers annual scholarships to outstanding first year international students who have met the English Language Proficiency requirement.

Scholarship Highlights:

• Open to undergraduate international students entering their first year in any degree program.


• Renewable for up to four years maintain a GPA of 2.60 or higher over 24.00 units each academic year.


• Recipients must continue to pay the international differential tuition fee and remain non-Canadian citizens or non-permanent residents.


• Awarded based on academic excellence.

• Citizenship: Must be an international student (not a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada).


• Tuition Status: Must be required to pay international differential tuition fees.


• Program Level: Must be entering the first year of any undergraduate degree program at the University of Calgary in the upcoming fall term.


• Language Requirement: Must have satisfied the University’s English Language Proficiency requirement before starting studies.


• Academic Merit: Awarded based on strong academic performance (high school grades or equivalent).


• Renewal Conditions:


• Maintain a GPA of 2.60 or higher over a minimum of 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms.


• Continue to pay international tuition fees each year.
